Australia’s U-17 Women’s Public Group have been attracted Gathering B with matches held from 16 – 24 September 2023 in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Following broad exploring across Australia and an effective visit through the Korea Republic in June, Dower has chosen a crew that consolidates 15 experienced campaigners from the Cycle 1 Qualifying with eight new faces set to make their global presentations.
Lead trainer Rae Dower expressed that the chose crew was roused and prepared to fight for a spot at the following year’s AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup.
“We’re so eager to go to Hanoi, off the rear of the CommBank Matildas’ astounding exhibitions at the FIFA Women’s Reality Cup 2023 and make one more stride towards getting our own FIFA U-17 Women’s Reality Cup capability,” Dower said.

“We need to keep on advancing our playing style and I accept that the group we have gathered are versatile and adaptable to battle the various rivals we will confront.”

The CommBank Junior Matildas will open their gathering play at the Vietnam Youth Football Preparing Center against the Philippines on Wednesday, 20 September (7.00pm AEST). They will then confront the Gathering B has Vietnam on Friday, 22 September (10.00pm AEST) prior to balancing the Cycle 2 qualifiers against Bangladesh on Sunday, 24 September (7.00pm AEST).
The main two countries toward the culmination of the cooperative effort matches will meet all requirements for the AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup Indonesia 2024™ to be held from 7 – 20 April 2024.
Players and staff will gather this Saturday, 9 September for a pre-competition camp before leaving for Vietnam on 12 September.
